Auditorium Transformation 445 square meters delivered in 60 days
Project Summary
A complete interior and technical overhaul of a 445 sq meter auditorium delivered within a strict 60 day timeline. The scope covered structural enhancements, acoustic upgrades, electrical rewiring, lighting replacement, stage work and aesthetic refurbishment, all executed without disrupting the clients operations.
The Challenge
The brief came with three clear constraints that set the tone from day one.
1. A hard stop timeline of 60 days
The auditorium is a high use space for leadership meetings, employee events and training sessions. Downtime had to be minimal, which meant every activity needed precision sequencing.
2. Full scope transformation in a live facility
The work involved replacing almost every element of the auditorium. Carpets, ceilings, lighting, stage flooring, acoustic treatments, civil reinforcement, electrical boxes and wiring all required attention. Yet the workflow had to remain controlled to avoid noise or safety concerns in an active campus.
3. Technical depth with aesthetic expectations
Acoustic performance had to improve significantly. Lighting needed a modern and programmable setup. Fire evacuation signages and compliance measures had to be updated. Every change also had to meet the clients brand and visual standards.
Trivers Approach
The team broke the project into three tightly managed tracks.
Track 1: Structural and acoustic foundations
Full removal of the old ceiling, installation of mineral fibre acoustic ceiling sheets, civil work on the floor base and redesign of acoustic wall panels with new fabric, wooden sections and laminate finishes.
Track 2: Electrical and technical backbone
Complete replacement of floor boxes, fresh wiring, lighting redesign for better ambience control, audio video cable routing and fabrication of custom MS stands for speakers.
Track 3: Finish and experience layer
New carpets, repainting across all surfaces, fresh gypsum ceilings in select areas, a carved niche for the auditorium TV unit, installation of stage flooring with sixteen millimetre wooden planks and updated fire evacuation signage.
Daily site reviews, parallel tasking and close monitoring were key to managing time and quality across all three tracks.
Delivery Outcomes
1. Timely completion
The project was handed over within 60 days as committed, with zero extension despite the depth of work.
2. A refreshed auditorium ready for multi purpose use
From town halls to client events, the space now functions with higher clarity, improved sound and better visual comfort.
3. Stronger technical infrastructure
New wiring, upgraded floor boxes, AV routing and lighting control ensure the space is future ready and easier to maintain.
4. Enhanced acoustic and aesthetic performance
The combination of new ceiling systems, wall panels and stage flooring significantly improved sound quality and overall ambience.
5. A smooth execution journey
The work was completed without interrupting the clients operations, reflecting careful planning, disciplined site management and a collaborative working style.
Impact
The renewed auditorium has become a signature space for the client. It carries the warmth of a modern interior, the clarity of a well tuned acoustic environment and the functionality of a technically sound setup. The transformation also strengthened the clients confidence in Triver for future projects.
